Board of Management update
Scoil an Chlochair Opening and Closing Times
A Board of Management meeting took place on July 10th 2020. The Board considered submissions from the Parents' Association, from staff and also the poll of all parents/guardians that was conducted at the end of June. The result of the poll was 56.9% in favour of changing the school opening and closing times and 43.1% in favour of retaining the current opening and closing times (109 families voted).
Following the result of the poll the Board has decided to change the school opening and closing times upon the resumption of school on August 27th. (not 29th as previously stated)
Therefore from Thursday August 27th school will commence at 8.50am for all children. School will conclude at 1.30pm for children in Junior and Senior Infants and at 2.30pm for children from 1st to 6th classes.

This year we are not in a position to sell school uniforms and we are asking you to purchase your child's uniform from any of the main stores. For your information Dunnes Stores have said they are keeping a limited stock on premises this year and are advising that you purchase early. Perfect Stitches are providing the school crest if you wish to have it on the uniform. You can contact them on 0873430673.
Confirmation, for those in 6th class wishing to receive it, will take place on Wednesday August 12th at 11am. First Holy Communion is planned for Saturday August 15th. Father Corrigan will be in touch with families with regard to these events.

SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN!
•The Board of Management of Scoil an Chlochair is concerned about the safety of the children in the Church Car Park. We request the cooperation of drivers who drop off and collect children each day.
•Please observe a speed limit of 5km in the car park
•The ‘Set Down’ area in the car park should be strictly for SET DOWN ONLY. If you are going into the school with your child or children please use the marked parking bays provided.
•When collecting children all parents should park in the parking bays.
No parking or waiting in the clearway areas.
•The children walk over to the church regularly.. Please do not park on the marked pathway.
•Please take care of our children!

The health and safety of all our school community is most important at all times Please talk to your child about taking care around the school grounds and when entering and leaving school. We ask that all parents and guardians observe a 5kph through the church car park at all times. Please do not park or wait in the set down area.
